Luba Repar and her Paintings
The photo at left shows Luba Repar in front of her display at the MAS Fall Show 2009.

Luba was born in a picturesque wine making village in Croatia and very early on in her life was inspired to transfer the beauty of her surroundings onto canvases.

From her hilltop village, the southward view is of wave after wave of rolling hills of vineyards, golden wheat fields and fruitful orchards. Each hill is topped with clusters of distant rooftops of neighbouring villages. The north side mountains rise protectively, resembling an army of fateful giants guarding over their treasures bellow. Because of this landscape feast, naturally, Luba's first love is painting nature in all it's forms. She also has skills in still life and portrait painting.

Now a member of Mississauga Art Society, Luba is devoting most of her time to her first love 'painting'. Showing with her "MAS" group twice a year at Riverwood art centre, she also exhibits her work at various galleries. Presently working in acrylic and oil on landscape, still life and portraits.
